Welcome

…to the Airsoft Action website – home of the award-winning airsoft magazine and winners of the prestigious Popular Airsoft Players’ Choice Award for Best Airsoft Magazine (Print and Digital) for thee years running!

After nearly eight years of continual publication there are simply too many articles to include everything here, so we have chosen a selection that we hope will give you a flavour of what’s in each issue.

Airsoft Action doesn’t focus on one type of airsoft. We know there are many different styles and genres of gameplay, from Napoleonic warfare, through just about every global conflict and on into the future, be that a Post-Apocalyptic wasteland or fighting the living dead to survive. We believe that all deserve equal coverage and strive to provide our readers with interesting editorial content, complimented by a balanced selection of adverts. We are not – and never will be – a magazine full of adverts with a few bits of “cut & paste” editorial thrown in!

Airsoft Action is also the only UK-based magazine that attends shows and events around the World, with a regular presence at both The SHOT Show in Las Vegas and IWA in Nuremberg. Airsoft Action also covers the prestigious G&G CQB World Championships in Taiwan and regularly has coverage of other events, such as Operation Lion Claws in the USA and Warzone in Crete.

Practical Shooting was all but killed off in the UK and airsoft has meant shooters up and down the country can now enjoy their sport again. Airsoft Action is at the forefront of championing the growth of this highly skillful, competitive sport and will continue to support it at every opportunity, such as The Airsoft Surgeon European Championship. Airsoft Action was very proud to be appointed the exclusive UK Media supporter for the First Action Air World Shoot, which took place in Hong Kong in July 2018.

We have nearly 30 freelance Contributors, each one an airsofter or specialist in their field, headed up by an Editor with many years of experience in both publishing and “force on force” combat sports. Some have military experience, others are involved in the Trade and most are regular players at sites up and down the UK – and beyond.

Airsoft Action is a UK-based magazine with a worldwide readership via its digital publication and regularly receives articles from countries around the World, such as Russia, Spain, Croatia, Brazil, USA, Canada, Germany, France, Panama, Brazil and more recently, South Africa. Airsoft Action is a truly International Airsoft publication – we don’t just write it on the cover, we write about it inside too!

In the UK Airsoft Action is available from UK High Street Newsagents, a selection of Airsoft sites and shops (click [here] for a map of their locations) and as a digital publication on PocketMags, Readly, Magzter and Issuu, plus apps that can be found via iOS, Android and Windows app stores.

Airsoft Action is honoured to support Pilgrim Bandits Charity. Established by a small group of Special Forces veterans in 2007 with the sole aim of using their unique training and experience to help and inspire injured personnel to live life to the full. Their mantra “Always a Little Further” is core to the charity’s attitude; whether working with amputee men and women from the services directly or by utilising their experiences to inspire and encourage young people and children. Pilgrim Bandits don’t do sympathy but do offer the rewards of belonging to a team, encouragement, belief and the power of humour over pain.

To find out more about the charity and how you too can help support it, click [here] to visit their website.

The latest issue is about to hit the High Street and it's another corker!

Everyone knows that the UK's weather is often "unpredictable" but that doesn't stop events from happening - and we have full reports from three of the biggest: The Airsoft Surgeon Shield Cup 2019, where Action Air shooters from 12 different countries fought for top honours; War & Peace Revival, possibly the biggest display of living military history in Europe and Airfest, the annual airsoft and paintball "shoot and social".

In the Armoury this month, we take a look at the Specna Arms SA-02 Core bolt-action springer and two BLE pistols from ICS, the XPD and BM9. We also get hold of a UK-made mock supressor for the SIG MCX, which turns out to be a little gem!

As always, our features are as wide and varied as airsoft itself, as we focus on Airsoft Photographer, Lauren Davey (and also have a site report from her home site, Mid Wales Airsoft); Phil takes some pot shots at AttackSense targets and Steve T kicks off a new series called "Life With A...", starting with "Bolt Action Rifle".

We also have an in-depth interview with Joe "John Wicks" Skillings, the man behind airsoft rental company, SixMil.com and if you are looking for a new pair of gloves, make sure you read Bill's article about the latest releases from German brand, KinetiXx ...and that's before moving onto our regular columns, such as "Versus: Sten v MP40", "The Collector: Spas 12", "The Cage: Plate Carriers" and "Last Post: Chrono Confusion"!

PLUS, PLUS, PLUS... as an added bonus for digital issue readers only, this issue also includes the latest 100-page Military1st.co.uk Product Catalogue and all you have to do is click or tap any image to be taken directly to their website! How cool is that?
