Welcome

…to the Airsoft Action website – home of the award-winning airsoft magazine and winners of the prestigious Popular Airsoft Players’ Choice Award for Best Airsoft Magazine (Print and Digital) for thee years running!

After nearly eight years of continual publication there are simply too many articles to include everything here, so we have chosen a selection that we hope will give you a flavour of what’s in each issue.

Airsoft Action doesn’t focus on one type of airsoft. We know there are many different styles and genres of gameplay, from Napoleonic warfare, through just about every global conflict and on into the future, be that a Post-Apocalyptic wasteland or fighting the living dead to survive. We believe that all deserve equal coverage and strive to provide our readers with interesting editorial content, complimented by a balanced selection of adverts. We are not – and never will be – a magazine full of adverts with a few bits of “cut & paste” editorial thrown in!

Airsoft Action is also the only UK-based magazine that attends shows and events around the World, with a regular presence at both The SHOT Show in Las Vegas and IWA in Nuremberg. Airsoft Action also covers the prestigious G&G CQB World Championships in Taiwan and regularly has coverage of other events, such as Operation Lion Claws in the USA and Warzone in Crete.

Practical Shooting was all but killed off in the UK and airsoft has meant shooters up and down the country can now enjoy their sport again. Airsoft Action is at the forefront of championing the growth of this highly skillful, competitive sport and will continue to support it at every opportunity, such as The Airsoft Surgeon European Championship. Airsoft Action was very proud to be appointed the exclusive UK Media supporter for the First Action Air World Shoot, which took place in Hong Kong in July 2018.

We have nearly 30 freelance Contributors, each one an airsofter or specialist in their field, headed up by an Editor with many years of experience in both publishing and “force on force” combat sports. Some have military experience, others are involved in the Trade and most are regular players at sites up and down the UK – and beyond.

Airsoft Action is a UK-based magazine with a worldwide readership via its digital publication and regularly receives articles from countries around the World, such as Russia, Spain, Croatia, Brazil, USA, Canada, Germany, France, Panama, Brazil and more recently, South Africa. Airsoft Action is a truly International Airsoft publication – we don’t just write it on the cover, we write about it inside too!

In the UK Airsoft Action is available from UK High Street Newsagents, a selection of Airsoft sites and shops (click [here] for a map of their locations) and as a digital publication on PocketMags, Readly, Magzter and Issuu, plus apps that can be found via iOS, Android and Windows app stores.

Airsoft Action is honoured to support Pilgrim Bandits Charity. Established by a small group of Special Forces veterans in 2007 with the sole aim of using their unique training and experience to help and inspire injured personnel to live life to the full. Their mantra “Always a Little Further” is core to the charity’s attitude; whether working with amputee men and women from the services directly or by utilising their experiences to inspire and encourage young people and children. Pilgrim Bandits don’t do sympathy but do offer the rewards of belonging to a team, encouragement, belief and the power of humour over pain.

To find out more about the charity and how you too can help support it, click [here] to visit their website.

Please read below for the story on why we are doing this. It doesn’t matter if you’re an ex-serviceman or just a civilian, PTSD can affect us all.

PROVIDING TREATMENT FOR SERVICEMEN’S DISORDERS.

Everyone knows what PTSD is and we have all heard about servicemen coming back from active duty and experiencing the lasting effects. However, few people know that it effects every day people like you and me.

I have to say I was one of them.
My name is Paul, In 2005 I had an accident at work which changed my life forever. I was taking a cover of a joint box and I was electrocuted. I would have died if it were not for an apprentice who knocked me off my ladder. For years I tried to come to terms with what had happened to me. I would cry at work. I had flashbacks but didn’t talk to anyone. Not even those closest to me.

It was not until over a year had passed that I was diagnosed with PTSD. The Royal British Legion Industries gave me support. They organised counselling and supported me with getting back to work.

My family and friends supported me during this time. In particular my sons took me to airsoft. It was a new world that I entered into and gave me an escape.

So what does this have to do with PTSD? I want to give back to the Royal British Legion and we are organising an airsoft event to raise awareness of PTSD and the value of the work that Royal British Legion Industries does for everyday people like you and me.

So here we are now please support and help raise awareness for P.T.S.D and what RBLI do for us all.

I want to say a massive thank you for making this happen to the following people.

Paul John Sapsford - For his story

Tim Brown- Pew Pew Community Admin he has helped organiser from start to end and driving the patches sales for the year 😉

Nicole Brown- for the designed of the patch

Outdoor and Tactical - for working with the supplier getting the patch made and tweaked to perfection. Beyond that, they pushed to get the price as low as possible so we can raise more money for charity.

RBLI- for letting us use their logo to help get the funds for their charity.

And last but not least to all. For everyone that will buy and support us in raising awareness for PTSD And helping a great charity lets smash the 5k target for year end.
