Welcome

…to the Airsoft Action website – home of the award-winning airsoft magazine and winners of the prestigious Popular Airsoft Players’ Choice Award for Best Airsoft Magazine (Print and Digital) for thee years running!

After nearly eight years of continual publication there are simply too many articles to include everything here, so we have chosen a selection that we hope will give you a flavour of what’s in each issue.

Airsoft Action doesn’t focus on one type of airsoft. We know there are many different styles and genres of gameplay, from Napoleonic warfare, through just about every global conflict and on into the future, be that a Post-Apocalyptic wasteland or fighting the living dead to survive. We believe that all deserve equal coverage and strive to provide our readers with interesting editorial content, complimented by a balanced selection of adverts. We are not – and never will be – a magazine full of adverts with a few bits of “cut & paste” editorial thrown in!

Airsoft Action is also the only UK-based magazine that attends shows and events around the World, with a regular presence at both The SHOT Show in Las Vegas and IWA in Nuremberg. Airsoft Action also covers the prestigious G&G CQB World Championships in Taiwan and regularly has coverage of other events, such as Operation Lion Claws in the USA and Warzone in Crete.

Practical Shooting was all but killed off in the UK and airsoft has meant shooters up and down the country can now enjoy their sport again. Airsoft Action is at the forefront of championing the growth of this highly skillful, competitive sport and will continue to support it at every opportunity, such as The Airsoft Surgeon European Championship. Airsoft Action was very proud to be appointed the exclusive UK Media supporter for the First Action Air World Shoot, which took place in Hong Kong in July 2018.

We have nearly 30 freelance Contributors, each one an airsofter or specialist in their field, headed up by an Editor with many years of experience in both publishing and “force on force” combat sports. Some have military experience, others are involved in the Trade and most are regular players at sites up and down the UK – and beyond.

Airsoft Action is a UK-based magazine with a worldwide readership via its digital publication and regularly receives articles from countries around the World, such as Russia, Spain, Croatia, Brazil, USA, Canada, Germany, France, Panama, Brazil and more recently, South Africa. Airsoft Action is a truly International Airsoft publication – we don’t just write it on the cover, we write about it inside too!

In the UK Airsoft Action is available from UK High Street Newsagents, a selection of Airsoft sites and shops (click [here] for a map of their locations) and as a digital publication on PocketMags, Readly, Magzter and Issuu, plus apps that can be found via iOS, Android and Windows app stores.

Airsoft Action is honoured to support Pilgrim Bandits Charity. Established by a small group of Special Forces veterans in 2007 with the sole aim of using their unique training and experience to help and inspire injured personnel to live life to the full. Their mantra “Always a Little Further” is core to the charity’s attitude; whether working with amputee men and women from the services directly or by utilising their experiences to inspire and encourage young people and children. Pilgrim Bandits don’t do sympathy but do offer the rewards of belonging to a team, encouragement, belief and the power of humour over pain.

To find out more about the charity and how you too can help support it, click [here] to visit their website.

The latest photo from our friends over at OV-10 Squadron of the Airsoft Bronco.

The new issue hits High Street newsagents tomorrow and judging by the response to the cover shot, it ain't going to stay on the shelves for long - so best make sure you get your copy early!

Don't forget it is also available in digital format on Issuu, Readly, Magzter and PocketMags, plus via the AA iOS or Android app.

The new issue is being sent out to shops and subscribers as I type and when you see it, you will probably be as surprised to see what is on the cover as we were when we heard about a company in the States who were fitting airsoft M60s to a restored Vietnam-era, OV-10 Bronco!
We had to find out more and you will find the full story, told by the guys at OV-10 Squadron themselves, along with more pictures of what they have achieved, inside.
Back on the ground, Issue 107 is (as always) packed with articles covering everything from the latest RIFs, including the stunning LCT AK-12, kindly loaned to us by Nuprol and some excellent 'Namsoft ARs from JG, courtesy of Taiwangun.com.
Kit & Gear-wise, we have full updates on the latest from both Helikon-Tex and Viper Tactical (two companies really pushing forwards with new products, designs and ideas), plus boots, holsters, camo, torches, masks and even a real-steel bipod!
Steve T puts a range of gasses through their paces, writes about Life With An AEG and also looks for appearences of the Minigun on screen, while Bill pits Ingram against UZI and Frenchie takes a look at early M16s and lets off steam in Last Post.
That's about it for this one, we hope you enjoy the read - and the variety!
Now, I wonder if I can hitch a ride to a certain airfield in California...

Looks lethal to me. 😳 Thankfully Orange 🍊 muzzle tips not required 😂

Got my copy yesterday. Cracking read and a fantastic story! The OV-10 has long been one of my all-time favorite aircraft. 🙂
